If you’re interested in green coffee pricing, market movement, and industry context, we post regular updates on Instagram.

Most cafés don’t have a coffee problem. They have Most cafés don’t have a coffee problem.
They have a visibility problem.

Great espresso, beautiful space, friendly staff, yet empty tables.
Why? Because your customers decide where to go before they ever smell the coffee.

Today, attention lives on social media.
If you’re not showing up with intention, you’re invisible.

This isn’t about posting more latte art.
It’s about posting with strategy:
• The right visuals
• The right message
• The right platforms
• The right audience

Every photo you post trains people who your café is for.
Workspaces attract freelancers.
Friends attract friends.
Vibes attract behavior.

Build presence before relying on foot traffic.
Because awareness fills seats faster than aesthetics ever will.

But before you unhedge everything, look at the "paper" reasons vs. the physical reality. The drop was driven by two things: a weather forecast (rain in Brazil) and a currency shift (weaker Real). Neither of those put actual coffee in the warehouse.

The physical inventory is still hovering near 1.75-year lows. We have no safety net. If that rain forecast misses? We are right back to the highs.

Everyone thinks "emerging markets" want dark roast Everyone thinks "emerging markets" want dark roasts and traditional flavors. Georgia just proved everyone wrong. 🇬🇪☕️

The data shows a massive 43.9% spike in coffee imports in just one year. But the real story isn't the volume it's the flavor profile.

While other regions struggle to sell "funky" or fermented coffees, Georgian consumers are drinking them daily. Why? Because they’ve been training for this for 8,000 years.

Their ancient qvevri wine culture (fermenting grapes underground in clay) created a national palate that loves acidity, fermentation, and complexity. They didn't need to "learn" specialty coffee. They were ready for it millennia ago.

Now, brands like @shavi.coffee @shavi.coffee.usa are taking that "Eastern Euro x West Asian" approach and exporting it back to the US.

Swipe through to see why the "Birthplace of Wine" might be the future of coffee. 👉

The "Apprentice" role is dead. We need to talk abo The "Apprentice" role is dead. We need to talk about what replaces it.

New data suggests a 50% chance AI outpaces human coffee tasks by 2068. But looking at that date is a mistake. The shift isn't 40 years away; it’s happening in the grading room right now.

Vision systems are already spotting defects, quakers, and screen size deviations faster than your best green buyer. That’s efficiency, sure. But it also deletes the training ground.

If the algorithm handles the sorting and the roasting curves, how does the next generation learn to troubleshoot? We are risking a generation of "button pushers" who can run the machine but can't fix the coffee.

Swipe through the data on the "Deskilling Crisis." 👉

Everyone is looking at that massive red candle on Everyone is looking at that massive red candle on the charts today and breathing a sigh of relief, but we need to be really careful about how we interpret this drop.

Arabica futures just took a nearly three percent dive in a single session, and while it feels like a break, the market is actually playing a dangerous game with us right now.
The algorithms are selling off purely because the weather models are finally predicting rain in Minas Gerais, but that short-term weather report is masking a much scarier fundamental reality.

Here is the truth that the charts aren't showing you immediately.
While we are seeing a massive surge of Robusta coming out of Vietnam to calm the lower end of the market, the actual inventory for certified Arabica stocks has hit a nearly two-year low. We are operating without a safety net. The USDA is still projecting a structural decline in Brazil's production for the 2026 cycle, so do not mistake this temporary price drop for safety. If you are a buyer, this is your window to secure coverage before the market realizes that a little bit of rain doesn't fix a long-term deficit.

I honestly get so tired of hearing that you need s I honestly get so tired of hearing that you need six figures of capital to start a real manufacturing business because that old way of thinking is completely stopping people from changing their lives. The industry gatekeepers love to tell you that you need a hundred thousand dollars to roast coffee professionally, but I’m telling you right now that they are dead wrong.

You can legally build a commercial manufacturing line in your garage for less than the cost of a used car.
We are talking about a total MVP cost of under forty-five hundred dollars to be fully operational with a decent one kilo roaster, your compliance paperwork, and the sealing gear you need to look professional.

The secret weapon here is the Cottage Food Law which basically lets you bypass commercial rent and overhead entirely so you can sell directly from home in most states.
When you actually run the math on a twenty-pound-per-hour machine, you are looking at roughly one hundred and sixty dollars an hour in profit because the margins between green beans and retail bags are just massive. Stop overthinking the industrial warehouse and start looking at what you can do from your kitchen counter.

We need to have a serious talk about the National We need to have a serious talk about the National Championship in Houston because the timeline is much tighter than most people realize. We are heading to Roastronix Headquarters in Missouri City this coming February to crown a new champion, but the real race is actually happening right now. There are only twenty-four spots for the entire competition, and since previous champions have already claimed a third of the field, there are just sixteen open seats left for the rest of the country.
Here is the critical detail that will make or break your season. You cannot simply show up on registration day and hope for the best. The process requires a specific registration code that you must have in your hand before the portal opens on Monday, January 12 at 1 PM CST. If you wait until the last minute to prepare, you are going to miss the boat because these spots will likely vanish in seconds. Please stop what you are doing, check your eligibility, and send a DM to @uscoffeechamps immediately to secure your code so you are ready to fight for your spot on the line.

Why are 80% of coffee drinkers turning away from f Why are 80% of coffee drinkers turning away from famous brands and choosing private labels instead?

This isn’t a trend. It’s a structural shift in the global coffee market.

As prices stay volatile and inflation pressures margins, consumers are prioritizing value, quality, and transparency over logos. Private label coffee is no longer “cheap coffee.” It’s specialty grade, sustainable, and often better than national brands.

In the US, private brand sales have grown nearly 25% per year.
In Europe, private label coffee is now a €352B market.

For cafés, roasters, and hospitality businesses, this is the ultimate margin and brand leverage play:
You control the brand.
Experts handle sourcing, roasting, and packaging.
Customers get quality without compromise.

This is the silent revolution reshaping coffee.
And it’s accelerating.
